Associate Financial Advisor

Formed in 1994, Northstar Financial Planning is a growing local Fee-Only wealth management firm serving over 100 clients and managing over $200 million of their wealth. Position Overview:

This is not a Sales Job! We seek a highly motivated professional to help us provide world class service and advice to our growing client base. This individual is passionate about servicing, retaining, and growing client relationships by exceeding expectations. You would work alongside our tight knit Wealth Advisory team on all aspects of the wealth management process. If you excel in this role, you may have the opportunity to manage a group of clients directly.

Job Responsibilities

o Supports Wealth Advisory team in all areas of the client relationship.
o Participates in client meetings.
o Proactively manages meeting preparation, analysis, and followup.
o Research financial planning and investment issues.
o Continuing education to develop advanced knowledge on all aspects of wealth management
o Assist with marketing-related materials
o Work with the firm’s prospective clients and referrals to identify new opportunities
o Work with our Operations Manager on ongoing CRM management and workflows

Educational and Experience Requirements and Preferences

o Bachelor’s degree required
o 2+ years of financial planning/investment experience
o Coursework towards CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) designation
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
o Redtail, eMoney, Morningstar, MoneyGuidePro, Orion, Tax software experience a plus.
